Dear Mr. Sandman

Dear Mr. Sandman,

Set me free from this stagnant vacancy,

The paintbrush is in my hand,

So why can’t I understand?

No riches, no gold, can compare

to the peace I long to hold,

My dreams used to be so bright,

I hope they find me again one night,

Because I can no longer live in fear,

Worrying only causes suffering twice and

I can no longer make that sacrifice,

Sprinkle your stardust,

To clean the rust of my position,

My dreams I desire to come to fruition,

A vibrant and joyous dream is what I wish to find,

One that can soothe the entirety of my mind
