Book Stars: 4/5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m only giving this four stars because I wanted more at the end, but it was extraordinary.
Autoboyography by Christina Lauren was a roller coaster. I finished it in a day and a half.
The writing style blended nicely with my imagination. I could actually see the story unfold like a film. Definitely be prepared for this book, – It’s an emotionally rich romance and not a soft-read.
The book follows Tanner, a bisexual boy who falls in love with a closeted mormon boy named Sebastian. This story sheds light on the experience queer religious people go through with their families and community. There are a lot of trials LGBT Christians go through in the process of coming to terms with their identity and this book follows Sebastian as he journeys from a collectivistic mindset with his family to transforming into his own sense of self.
Ultimately, the book is about being brave enough to accept yourself and love. 10/10 would recommend. Where’s the sequel?
